Two important jobs in the Oil&Gas sector
These are two drilling and pumping systems for oil and gas, to be built in Abu Dhabi and Djelfa (Algeria), of 17 MWE and 15 MWE, respectively. The projects will be supplied by Intergen in turnkey solution in the very near future.
Artificial islands in Abu Dhabi – 17 MWE plant
Intergen is handling the design, construction, in factory testing and supervision of the installation and on-site start-up of various plants for a total of 17 MWE on 4 artificial islands 80 km from the coast of Abu Dhabi (UAE) for the ZADCO UZ750 project, in an area which is the second largest off-shore oil deposit in the world. It is a modular solution, which involves 10 generating sets of varying power, assembled in containers and ancillary modular structures. The unusual features of the UZ750 project, which does not include the classical offshore platform solution, and relies on artificial land and rock islands, means that all the components require minimal on-site assembly activity. For this project Intergen will use generating sets compliant with ATEX ZONE 2 certification for machines which operate in hazardous areas, where explosive gases are present. The project has a value of more than 10,000,000 euro and will be completed in just 9 months
Black Start Diesel Generating plant in Djelfa (Algeria) – 15 MWE plant
The project in Djelfa (Algeria), a 1620MW combined cycle electricity power plant, involves the installation of 3 General Electric 16V250 engines 5250 KWm each, for a total of 15 MWE. This is a “Black Start” plant, i.e. it does not require external energy sources for its operation, guaranteeing completely electrical autonomy. For this order Intergen will also handle the designing, construction, tests and supervision of the installation and commissioning of the entire plant. The project, which has a value of more than 6,000,000.00 euro, will be completed in just 6 months.
